What you will do:
Your mission will be to lead the FX team to create dynamic effects.
- Develop and maintain the FX pipeline, creating tools and HDA’s in Houdini to streamline the team's workflow.
- Interpret the Director's vision and translate it into actionable tasks for the FX team, ensuring visual consistency.
- Guide and support the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure all FX are optimized for the lighting and rendering stages, maintaining a balance between visual complexity and render times.
- Calibrate the artistic quality of each shot according to the budget, calculate bids, and ensure perfect optimization for rendering
What we are looking for?
- Extensive experience in high-end animation or VFX, with a deep mastery of Houdini (Vex, Python, and HDA creation).
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and provide constructive, clear feedback.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and pipeline architecture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical departments and creative directors.
- Advanced English is required for this leadership role.
